88 cm3 of nitrogen is at a pressure of 770 mm mercury. If the pressure is raised to 880 mm Hg, find by how much the volume will diminish, temperature remains constant.

By Boyle's Law:
Substituting the values :
V2 = 77 cm3
∴ Decrease in volume = 88 - 77 = 11 cm3
