Steps of construction:

  1. Draw a line segment BC = 6 cm.

  2. At B draw BX such that ∠CBX = 45°.

  3. With B as center and radius equal to 6 cm draw an arc cutting BX at A.

  4. Using the same radius taking C and A as centers cut off arcs, which will intersect at D.

  5. Join CD and AD.
