The perimeter of a rectangle is 81 m and its breadth is 12 m. Find its length and area.

Given,
Perimeter = 81 m
Breadth (b) = 12 m
Let length of rectangle = l meters
By formula,
Perimeter = 2(l + b)
⇒ 81 = 2(l + 12)
⇒ l + 12 =
⇒ l + 12 = 40.5
⇒ l = 40.5 - 12 = 28.5 m.
Area = l × b
= 28.5 × 12 = 342 m2.
Hence, length = 28.5 m and area = 342 m2.
