Steps of construction :
Draw a line segment AB = 5 cm.
Draw AX ⊥ AB and BY ⊥ AB.
With B as center and radius equal to 3.6 cm draw arc cutting BY at C.
With A as center and radius equal to 3.6 cm draw arc cutting AX at D.
Join CD.

Hence, ABCD is the required rectangle.
