⇒ 3(0) + 3y = 6
⇒ 3y = 6
⇒ y =
⇒ y = 2.
The line touches y-axis at point (0, 2).
Substituting y = 0 in first equation,
⇒ 3x + 3(0) = 6
⇒ 3x = 6
⇒ x =
⇒ x = 2.
The line touches y-axis at point (2, 0).
∴ Line 3x + 3y = 6 cuts positive x-axis and positive y-axis at equal distance i.e. 2 units form the origin.
