Comparing 25x2 - 10x + 1 = 0 with ax2 + bx + c = 0 we get,
a = 25, b = -10 and c = 1.
We know that,
Discriminant = D = b2 - 4ac = (-10)2 - 4(25)(1)
= 100 - 100 = 0;
Since, a, b and c are real numbers; a ≠ 0 and b2 - 4ac = 0
∴ The roots are real and equal.
