⇒ x = 2.
Substituting x = 2 in x3 - 4x2 - 11x + 30, we get :
⇒ 23 - 4(2)2 - 11(2) + 30
⇒ 8 - 4(4) - 22 + 30
⇒ 8 - 16 - 22 + 30
⇒ 38 - 38
⇒ 0.
Since, remainder = 0.
∴ x - 2 is factor of x3 - 4x2 - 11x + 30.
Hence, Option 1 is the correct option.
