Comparing 6x2 + 7x - 10 = 0 with ax2 + bx + c = 0 we get,
a = 6, b = 7 and c = -10.
We know that,
Discriminant (D) = b2 - 4ac = (7)2 - 4 × (6) × (-10)
= 49 -(-240)
= 49 + 240 = 289; which is positive, and a perfect square.
Hence, the roots are rational and unequal.
