(ii) The area of the rectangle = length x breadth = 15 x 8 m 2 = 120 m 2 Hence, the area of the rectangle is 120 m 2 . (iii) By using Pythagoras theorem, ⇒ Diagonal 2 = Length 2 \+ Breadth 2 ⇒ Diagonal 2 = 15 2 \+ 8 2 ⇒ Diagonal 2 = 225 \+ 64 ⇒ Diagonal 2 = 289 ⇒ Diagonal = ⇒ Diagonal = 17 m Hence, the diagonal of the rectangle is 17 m.
