Answer

Let almonds be x gm and cashews be y gm.

x + y = 700

x = 700 - y …….(i)

Given, cost of dry fruit pack = ₹216.

2881000x+3361000y=216288x+336y1000=216288x+336y=216000…….(ii)\therefore \dfrac{288}{1000}x + \dfrac{336}{1000}y = 216 \\[1em] \Rightarrow \dfrac{288x + 336y}{1000} = 216 \\[1em] \Rightarrow 288x + 336y = 216000 …….(ii)

Substituting value of x from (i) in (ii) we get,

⇒ 288(700 - y) + 336y = 216000

⇒ 201600 - 288y + 336y = 216000

⇒ 48y = 14400

⇒ y = 300

x = 700 - y = 700 - 300 = 400.

Hence, almonds = 400 gm and cashews = 300 gm in dry fruit pack.
