In the circuit, there are two parts. In the first part, two resistors of 6 Ω and 3 Ω are connected in parallel. If the equivalent resistance is Rp then

1RP=16+131RP=1+26=36=12RP=2Ω\dfrac{1}{RP} = \dfrac{1}{6} + \dfrac{1}{3} \\[0.5em] \dfrac{1}{RP} = \dfrac{1+2}{6} = \dfrac{3}{6} = \dfrac{1}{2} \\[0.5em] \Rightarrow R_P = 2 Ω

Hence, RP = 2 Ω

In the second part, 1 Ω and (RP = 2 Ω) are connected in series. If the equivalent resistance is Rs then

Rs = 1 + RP = 1 + 2 = 3 Ω

Hence, total resistance of the circuit = 3 Ω
