Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are nontoxic, nonflammable chemicals containing atoms of Carbon, Chlorine, and Fluorine. They are regarded as the main reason for the Ozone Hole near Antarctica. CFC gases are used in refrigerators, aircraft and air conditioners.
