Reason — Total internal reflection is the phenomenon used to transmit a light signal over a wide range in optical fibers. When light enters the optical fiber at an angle greater than the critical angle, it undergoes total internal reflection, effectively bouncing off the interface of the optical fibre. This allows the light signal to propagate along the length of the fiber without significant loss of intensity
