(i) Let sin θ = 0.4848
From table,
sin 29° = 0.4848
⇒ θ = 29°.
Hence, θ = 29°.
(ii) Let sin θ = 0.3827
From graph,
sin 22° 30' = 0.3827
θ = 22° 30'.
Hence, θ = 22° 30'.
(iii) Let sin θ = 0.6525
From graph,
sin 40° 42' = 0.6521
sin θ - sin 40° 42' = 0.6525 - 0.6521 = 0.0004
From table,
Difference of 2' = 0.0004 [To add]
∴ θ = 40° 42' + 2' = 40° 44'.
Hence, θ = 40° 44'.
