The steps to copy a file are as follows:

Step 1 — Go to the location from where the file is to be copied.
Step 2 — Select the file name and click the right button of the mouse.
Step 3 — Click the Copy option from the drop-down menu.
Step 4 — Go to the location, where the copy of the file is to be placed. All the files and folders will be displayed.
Step 5 — Keep the mouse pointer in the blank space.
Step 6 — Click the right button of the mouse and select the Paste option from the drop-down menu.

The file will be copied from the source location to the destination location.
