Set of numbers : 2, 2, 3, 5, 5, 5, 6, 8 and 9.

Here, n = 9 which is odd.

By formula,

Median = n+12\dfrac{n + 1}{2}th term

= 9+12=102\dfrac{9 + 1}{2} = \dfrac{10}{2}

= 5th term

= 5.

Since, 5 has the highest frequency in the set of numbers.

Mode = 5.

Hence, median = 5 and mode = 5.
