We know that,
⇒ (a + b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab.
(i) Given,
⇒ (2a2 + 3b)2
⇒ (2a2)2 + (3b)2 + 2 × 2a2 × 3b
⇒ 4a4 + 9b2 + 12a2b
Hence, (2a2 + 3b)2 = 4a4 + 9b2 + 12a2b .
(ii) Given,
⇒ (3x2y + z)2
⇒ (3x2y)2 + (z)2 + 2 × 3x2y × z
⇒ 9x4y2 + z2 + 6x2yz
Hence, (3x2y + z)2 = 9x4y2 + z2 + 6x2yz .
